Harry Styles' American TV show Happy Together pulled after poor ratings

Harry Styles’ telly career is heading in no direction – after all hopes his flop show might return were dashed.

The former One Direction singer, 25, hoped small screen venture Happy Together for US channel CBS would make him a hit in the TV world.

But we can reveal the show, which was pulled earlier this year because of poor ratings, has now been canned for good.

Actress Amber Stevens West said any plans to revive it were dead and that she and leading man Damon Wayans have not heard from the singer.

“It is gone,” she insisted. “Everyone has moved on, sadly. We are not doing that show anymore.”

Earlier this years executive producer Harry and his team insisted the series, whoch also starred Aussie actor Felix Mallard, could be revived and bids were coming in from other interested networks.

But, speaking at the breast cancer charity gala show Les Girls in LA, Amber, 33, added: “I wish that were true.”

Asked if Styles had contacted his leading star to express his condolences about the axing, she said: “I haven’t heard from him since. I’m sure he’s busy doing famous people things.”

Happy Together followed the life of a musician who moves in with a suburban married couple.

It bore similarities to Harry's own life – he lived in producer Ben Winston’s attic for more than a year.

The show started with 6million viewers but had just 4.5million by the end of its 12 episode run.

Despite millions spent on promotions, it was trounced every week by rival shows, including The Voice, and was savaged by top TV critics.

Harry released the video for new single Lights Up this week and his return to music has received a warmer reception, with many praising the catchy tune.
