Harry Potter fans discover magical iPhone hack using Siri

Harry Potter fans have discovered a magical new hack to try out with their iPhones.

Wannabe witches and wizards can now cast their very own spell as if they were in Harry Potter - with a little help from Siri.

The mystical trick was discovered by a user on Twitter and it soon went viral when other Potter fans were beyond excited to try it out.

A user named @_Ivpotterhead explained the hack, as they posted: "If you're a Harry Potter fan tell Siri on your phone 'LUMOS'.

As the social media user found, if you say "Hey Siri, Lumos" to your iPhone device, the torch will be activated on your phone - replicating the spell in the franchise which illuminates the tip of a wand.

When you're done with the light, you can say the phrase from the films "Nox" to power off the torch.

Someone else shared that the hack will also work with Samsung phones, as they said: "Same to my Samsung users!! Just tried it with my S21+!"

Another claimed that it also works with Google Assistant.

Further homage was paid to the Potter spells as it was found that saying "accio" before the name of an app on your phone would also allow you to open any app of your choosing.

Fans were beyond excited to discover the tricks and posted their surprise on Twitter.

Rose said: "Not me speaking Harry Potter spells to Siri and finding out she knows three of them and they actually work! #lifecomplete."

Lesley said: "Siri speaks Harry Potter? That’s magic!"

Patricia said: "I was told today that when you say “Lumos” on your phone it turns on the flashlight. My Harry Potter heart is happy hahaha."
