Harry Kane has been tipped to "obliterate" the record for number of assists in a Premier League season, jointly held by Thierry Henry and Kevin de Bruyne.
Kane has already registered eight assists this term having struck up a deadly partnership with Spurs teammate Heung-min Son.
Henry and De Bruyne have each provided 20 goals for their colleagues in a single campaign, setting the benchmark for playmakers.
But Arsenal great Martin Keown reckons the record could be in jeopardy if Kane carries on in the same vein of form.
He wrote in the Daily Mail: "He [Kane] is starting high, dropping deep, and showing there is more to his game than merely scoring goals.
"With eight assists in six games, at this rate Kane would obliterate the Premier League record of 20, shared by Henry and Kevin De Bruyne."
Keown compared the way Kane is playing to his former Arsenal teammate Dennis Bergkamp - but also sees similarities with a current Premier League striker.
"We've seen what Roberto Firmino does for Liverpool – how he drops into those pockets of space and has willing runners in Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, who start wide but come inside," he added.
"Kane, likewise, has fast-paced forwards who he can pick out. That's been Son of late – most notably in that 5-2 win over Southampton when Kane took advantage of the hosts' high line to assist his team-mate four times."
Spurs will bid to get back to winning ways when they face Brighton on Sunday evening having suffered a shock defeat at the hands of Belgian side Royal Antwerp in the Europa League.
Kane came off the bench during that game but will be back in the starting line-up for the visit of the Seagulls.
