Harry Kane avoids FA action for 'headbutt' on Chelsea's Cesar Azpilicueta

Tottenham striker Harry Kane will face no retrospective action from Football Association after a coming together with Chelsea's Cesar Azpilicueta.

Kane is now clear to face Arsenal in Saturday's north London derby.

The England captain leaned into the defender during Wednesday evening's 2-0 loss at Chelsea with no action taken by referee Andre Marriner.

Marriner's report from the game was reviewed by the FA on Thursday, with the referee noting he saw the incident at the time so no retrospective action will be taken.

Tottenham are still waiting on word from English football's governing body on any action against manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Pochettino has verbally accepted a charge of improper conduct for his confrontation with referee Mike Dean following Saturday's defeat at Burnley.

The manager faces a touchline ban, unlikely to be handed down before Saturday's derby even if Spurs opt against appealing. He could escape with just a fine.
