Harry and Meghan's children may STILL be given Coronation role - if family attend

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's children could still be given a role at the King's Coronation if the family decide to attend, it is claimed.

Though the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been invited to the ceremony in May, the couple have not yet said whether they will be going.

But Palace aides are said to be ready to talk about what might be done for Archie and Lilibet on the day once they have received a firm answer.

A royal source said they would wait until then before deciding what role the children can play.

It comes despite initial reports that the children had not been included on royal invites sent out to Harry and Meghan.

Detailed arrangements are already well underway for the ceremony, which will take place at Westminster Abbey on May 6.

All three of Prince William and Kate's children will play starring roles in King Charles' coronation, according to leaked plans.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are expected to join the monarch and the Queen Consort Camilla as they leave Westminster Abbey at the end of the ceremony.

George and Charlotte became the youngest members of the royal family ever to join a funeral procession when they took part in the late Queen's funeral last year, while Louis was not included as he was thought to be too young.

All three siblings are expected to be on public display for the Coronation, the Times reports.

It is also expected that Camilla's children Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes will attend along with her five grandchildren - Lola, Freddy, Eliza, Louis and Gus - who could even be given starring roles in the ceremony.

Neither the Duke and Duchess of Sussex nor the Duke of York will take part in the procession, as they are not working members of the royal family.

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie will not be in the procession either.

Buckingham Palace has said the carriage procession after the Coronation will be significantly smaller, and shorter, than the procession after Queen Elizabeth's coronation.

However, the palace has insisted it would be "amazing in both scale and splendour".

New photos were released on Sunday of the Princess of Wales sat in a tree with George, Charlotte and Louis on Sunday in a heartwarming post to mark Mother's Day.

It came just hours after the King posted an emotional message on his first ever Mother's Day without mum Queen Elizabeth II.
