Harrison Ford joined by Hollywood royalty in the North East for Indiana Jones shoot

Two of Hollywood's most influential people have joined Harrison Ford on Tyneside.

Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy has flown into the region, while filming on the latest Indiana Jones movie continues in Northumberland.

And on Friday, she enjoyed a walk along the Quayside with husband and fellow director Frank Marshall - before telling ChronicleLive how much they love Newcastle.

"It is fantastic," said Kathleen, who has been staying at the Malmaison.

While the pair may not be household names, their influence across Hollywood is enormous.

The couple founded the Kennedy/Marshall production company, which has links with almost every major studio including Paramount, Universal and Walt Disney.

They have strong connections with Steven Spielberg while they are credited on some of the biggest movies of the past 30 years - including The Sixth Sense and the Bourne franchise.

Their stroll along the banks of the River Tyne was seemingly a lot more pleasurable than that of Ford, who pleaded with fans to leave him alone as he was surrounded by a crowd.

The movie legend's arrival in the North East has sparked excitement this week, with fans keen to get a glimpse of the 78-year-old Star Wars legend.

However, on Friday, he was forced t have a stern word with one over excited group - some of whom were maskless - as they swamped him.
