Hanuma Vihari moves from Andhra, to play for MP in 2023-24

MUMBAI: Hanuma Vihari, who has played 16 Tests for India, has decided to move from Andhra and will play for 2022 Ranji Trophy champions Madhya Pradesh in the forthcoming domestic season, TOI has learnt.

"Vihari and Kulwant Khejroliya will play for Madhya Pradesh in the upcoming season. This was decided at a selection committee meeting of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association on Monday," a reliable source told this paper. The 31-year-old Khejroliya, a left-arm fast bowler, has moved from Delhi.

MP are set to continue to be coached in the upcoming domestic season by former India wicketkeeper Chandrakant Pandit, under whom they clinched their maiden Ranji Trophy title in 2022.

Asked about the development, MPCA president Abhilash Khandekar said, "Yes, we had a meeting of our selection committee today, but I don't have the details. I'll get back to you tomorrow."
