Lille are expected to return with another offer for Hamza Igamane after Rangers rejected their loan bid.
The French side came in with the proposition of a temporary transfer last week and it's understood Ibrox chiefs laughed the offer out. They had set a significant asking price on the Moroccan striker's head and were not prepared to sanction a loan exit.
Lille remain interested though and are expected to come in with another bid, as per Rangers Review.
It had been believed Igamane was keen on making the move and that bubbled over at the weekend when manager Russell Martin told the press the 22-year-old refused to come on as a sub with the team trailing St Mirren, claiming an injury.
"Hamza told me he was injured," said the Rangers boss.

"And Hamza told me he was injured."
