Hampden Park decision reached as new dates for Euro 2020 tournament are set out

Hampden Park will remain a Euro 2020 host venue with new dates for the tournament announced by UEFA.

The tournament has been pushed back a year due to the coronavirus outbreak and will now be held between 11 June and 11 July 2021.

Scotland have also learned dates for their play-off match, or play-off matches depending on how optimistic you are. Steve Clark's side will face Israel in their semi-final on 8 October with the winner facing Norway or Serbia away on 12 November. Nations League fixtures will need to be moved as a result.

Should Scotland go completely again accepted norms and qualify for the tournament then we'd be in a group with England, Czech Republic and Croatia. The first match would take place at Wembley on 18 June with the following two at Hampden on 14 June and 22 June.

UEFA add that anyone wishing to return their tickets can request a refund between 18 June and 25 June via the Euro 2020 website.

UEFA announced the schedule for the resumption of European football during a meeting earlier on Wednesday. Rangers will play the second leg of their last 16 tie against Bayer Leverkusen on August 5 or 6.

Dates for Celtic's Champions League qualifiers have also been set out, with some one-legged ties in an unusual twist.
