Hamilton have landed two New Year's signings with the captures of defender Daniel O'Reilly and wide man Ellis Brown.
O'Reilly is a 26-year-old centre-back and arrives from Irish side Drogheda United, where he has acted as captain. He made 36 appearances last season.
Brown meanwhile has joined from English non-league side Boreham Wood for an undisclosed fee.
He will prove a versatile option for Taylor with the ability to play at wing-back and as a natural winger.
Both will be added to Hamilton's squad to face Queen of the South today.
Accies head into the match sixth in the Championship and off the back of having Wednesday's match with Arbroath postponed due to Covid, close contacts and injury.
Taylor said: “I am delighted to welcome Dan here to Accies. He has captained Drogheda in the past and won personal accolades for his performances.
“We have been looking to add a bit of leadership to the side and Dan allows us to do just that. I know he will be a great addition to the squad.
“I’d like to take the time to thank the board for getting this deal done. Dan was a player myself and my staff had identified very early on and to have him in the door on the first day of the window is fantastic.
“Ellis is a fantastic addition to the squad of players we have here.
“He is a very fast player and can play a number of positions very well. I think in the modern game that is important. He is a young player as well who will develop well here.”
