Hamilton grabbed a point from a pulsating game against Hearts at Tynecastle.
It was no more than hard-working Hamilton deserved, even if Hearts did dominate the first half.
The only real surprise was that they were only 1-0 up at the interval, such was their threat up front.
As it was, Sean Clare got that all-important strike to separate the sides.
That came back to haunt Hearts in the second half when George Oakley capitalised on a defensive howler to level for Accies.
Parity lasted for just eight minutes, though, as defender Christophe Berra atoned for his error that let Hamilton level in the first place
Hamilton kept at it and levelled again through Oakley, following good work by Blair Alston.
Hearts boss Craig Levein made three changes to the line-up that lost to Celtic. Colin Doyle (came in for injured goalkeeper Joel Pereira, while Aidan White and Euan Henderson were in for Michael Smith and Loic Damour.
Brian Rice made four changes to the team that lost to Motherwell last week, with Markus Fjortoft, Brian Easton, Blair Alston and Marios Ogkmpoe are in for George Stanger, suspended Jamie Hamilton, Darian MacKinnon and Ross Cunningham.
Hearts were first to seriously threaten in 12 minutes. Aaron McGowan cleared a Conor Washington cross from the right for a corner on the left. Andy Irving's set-piece was headed over, though, by Christophe Berra.
The hosts had the ball in the net when Glenn Whelan's cross from the right was headed across goal by Washington for Jake Mulraney to knock in, but he was flagged offside.
But Hearts did take the lead in 20 minutes and this time there was no mistake, as Craig Halkett played Sean Clare through and he slotted the ball under out-rushing Owain Fon-Williams.
Hamilton tried to get back into the game and three minutes later Lewis Smith went on a run down the right and checked inside before unleashing a shot that hit off of keeper Colin Doyle's shoulder and bounced over.
Hearts went close again in 36 minutes when Jake Mulraney tore down the right wing and whipped a low cross into the box, with Washington seeing his shot blocked by Fon-Williams at the near post.
The Edinburgh side went close again in 43 minutes, but Fon-Williams gathered well at Clare's feet after he was sent through on goal.
Hearts' failure to put the game to bed in the first half came back to haunt them five minutes into the second half when captain Berra and defender Aidan White got into a fankle in the box, allowing George Oakley to poke the ball into the net for 1-1.
The hosts tried to restore their lead in 52 minutes when Washington flashed a half-volley just over the bar.
Mulraney headed a Clare cross wide three minutes later.
But Hearts did restore their lead in 58 minutes when Andy Irving's corner from the right was headed in at the back post by Berra.
Hamilton went desperately close to levelling again in 64 minutes when Easton sent Blair Alston through on the right and his shot was well blocked by Doyle, with Ogkmpoe hitting the bar with the rebound.
They got their just rewards in 73 minute when good work on the right by Alston gave Oakley the chance to tuck a low shot into the bottom left corner of the net from about 12 yards.
Hearts threw everything they had at Hamilton during the six minute that the fourth official somehow found to add on to the end of this, but Hamilton held out for a precious point, amid cries from Hearts fans for boss Levein to go.
