Hamilton drink-driver given unpaid work for the second time

A Hamilton man who admitted his second drink-driving offence must do 200 hours of unpaid community work and get help with his drink problem.

John McCrory, 29, of Anderson Street, will also be under supervision for a year and is banned from driving for three years.

Hamilton Sheriff Court heard his blood/alcohol count was 58 – eight points over the legal limit – after he had been driving on the town’s Glenlee Street last October.
