Hamilton Accies release defender in temporary transfer move

Accies Hamilton Accies Hamilton (Organization) Michael Doyle Alloa Athletic Alloa League One

Hamilton Accies defender Michael Doyle has joined Alloa Athletic on a temporary transfer for the rest of this season.

Doyle, 31, played 28 times for Hamilton this season, having joined from Queen's Park in July of last year.

He now joins former Accies boss Brian Rice at League One club Alloa where he is on loan for a second spell, having played there from 2011 to 2016.

A statement issued by Accies read: "We wish him all the best with Alloa Athletic."

Alloa Athletic said: "We're pleased to welcome back defender Michael Doyle to the Indodrill Stadium. The Hamilton Accies defender joins on loan until the end of the season.

"We're sure he can add to the great memories he's already given us in an Alloa shirt."
