Hamilton Accies ace Ryan Fulton targets capital gains at Hibs

Goalkeeper Ryan Fulton is confident Hamilton can pick up another win on the road as they gear up to face Hibs.

Accies have impressed away from home this season, picking up wins over Motherwell and Livingston as they prepare for a Friday night trip to East Road.

Fulton believes they can use the point against Dundee United last weekend as a building block for the rest of the campaign.

Despite an early season run to the top three for Jack Ross’s men, the shot-stopper is bullish about Accies’ chances in the capital.

“It’s a great opportunity for us to go there and build off a good second half performance,” he said.

“I think we have a good chance going across there.

“We are buzzing. It’s a Friday night game, under the lights, that we can all look forward to.

“The confidence is there in the squad and has taken a boost from the Dundee United game. We did the same away at Livingston; we went there and surprised a few people and got the points on the road.

“I don’t see any reason why we can’t do that again.”

The 24-year-old believes the club showed the perfect attitude to battle for a point against Dundee United at New Douglas Park as they earned their first point of the season on home turf.

Fulton added: “In the end we could have got the win to be honest, but you take the point.

"It’s the first one at home so hopefully it gives us something to build on now for the rest of the season.

“It was massive to get off the mark at home. The character was clear for everyone watching; to come back and not get beat was a huge lift for us.

“The lads put themselves on the line with blocks and everything so we want to use this and build up the home form.

“We were really disappointed with how we performed against Kilmarnock so the important thing was not to get beat. We put a shift in and fight for the point in the end.”
