Former Japan soccer national coach Vahid Halilhodzic returned to Japan on Saturday, indicating he had not fully accepted the Japan Football Association's dismissal earlier this month.
It is the first time Halilhodzic has come to Japan since he was notified of his dismissal on April 7 in Paris.
"I came here to find out the truth about what happened," the 65 year old told reporters at Haneda Airport, indicating that the JFA's reasons, such as a decline in trust with players, were not convincing.
"I've always been happy to come to Japan, but this time the situation is special," the former coach said. "It's like I have been discarded."
During his stay in Japan, he plans to work on procedures to vacate his residence in Japan.
The former soccer boss also plans to hold a press conference on Friday.
