Halifax, Lloyds and Bank of Scotland apps down as users report issues

  • Numerous Halifax customers have reported problems with the bank’s mobile app and online banking.
  • Users took to X to report the technical difficulties, with one account posting: “I’ve been trying for the past 3 hours and I can’t log in.”
  • In response to a report made on the social media platform, Halifax commented: “Some customers are having issues with accessing our Mobile App right now. Bear with us as we fix this.”
  • Customers of Lloyds Bank and Bank of Scotland have also reported technical issues, according to the outage monitor Downdetector.
  • Lloyds Banking Group, who owns Halifax and Bank of Scotland, recently issued compensation after an IT malfunction exposed the personal data of nearly half a million customers in March.
