Halifax bank brand to be scrapped – what we know

• Halifax branches are expected to be rebranded as Lloyds or merged with nearby Lloyds branches throughout 2027, with no job cuts anticipated as part of this restructuring.
• The decision to integrate Halifax into the Lloyds brand is aimed at simplifying the group's portfolio, as the distinction between the two brands has become less prominent in recent years.
• Lloyds Banking Group has affirmed its commitment to the town of Halifax and the wider Yorkshire and Humber region, where approximately 3,000 staff are employed at its Trinity Road office.
