Hakim Ziyech finally ends Chelsea exile with transfer to Galatasaray

Hakim Ziyech has finally sealed his move away from Chelsea.

Galatasaray have signed the Moroccan winger following a tumultuous period that followed his success at the Qatar World Cup.

Chelsea have confirmed a loan deal with an obligation for Galatasaray to sign Ziyech on a permanent transfer next year.

A January move to Paris Saint-Germain collapsed due to Chelsea failing to sign off his paperwork in time on deadline day before Al-Nassr broke off on an £8million switch earlier in the summer over issues in his medical.

Ziyech flew into Istanbul on Friday night to undergo a medical and complete the move, three years after joining Chelsea from Ajax for £34m.

The Turkish side have paid £3million to sign Ziyech on loan with a further £2.5m fee for his permanent transfer.

And he attended Gala’s 2-0 win over Trabzonspor on Saturday to greet fans for the first time.

The Moroccan winger made 107 appearances for the west Londoners, scoring 14 goals - none of which came last season.
