A Hajj pilgrim jumped to his death from off the roof of the Grand Mosque in Makkah, said spokesman for the General Presidency for the Grand Mosque and the Prophet Mosque Affairs Ahmad bin Mohammed Al Mansouri, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The non-Arab pilgrim jumped off on Friday to the floor of the circumambulation area around the holy Kaaba despite the presence of a protective fence around the roof.
He was killed instantly, but landed on two pilgrims.
They were wounded, but their health is stable.
Investigations are underway to uncover the details of the incident.
