Hairdresser shares most annoying thing customers ask - including 'quick' cuts

A hairdresser has revealed the most annoying things she is asked by customers - and said she finds it infuriating when they come in and ask for a 'quick' cut.

TikTok star China Allred, @chinaarae, said that she often gets customers popping in for a cut on their lunch break and they ask for it to be done in 20 minutes.

She said that it isn't possible to squeeze a hair cut into that short time, as to wash, dry, and cut hair properly takes time - usually at least 45 minutes.

Now, the hairdresser has received messages of support from her followers - saying customers who make appointments in their lunch break are being unreasonable.

What do you think about 'quick' hair cuts? Let us know in the comments...

Taking to TikTok, China reenacted a conversation with a client, and she captioned the video: "We are never going to hurry CUTTING your hair to get you out faster."

In the video, the mock customer said: "OK I'm ready, can we get started? I'm on my lunch break, I've gotta hurry I don't have any time. I need to be outta here in like 20 minutes."

China then replies: "OK, you're down for a haircut, that's a shampoo, cut, and a style. That could take up to an hour. Usually, at least 45 minutes and you've got pretty thick, decently long hair so it's probably gonna take almost an hour."

China, as the hairdresser, then offers to do a dry cut to save time.

The customer then said: "Excuse me, do you see my dirty, greasy hair? No I need a shampoo, and It's cold outside, I can't leave with wet hair" said the client.

China replies: "Ok well what would you like me to do because there is no way I can do that in 20 minutes. It's gonna take 20 minutes to blow dry your hair, do you know what I'm saying?"

Customer: "No, no, I don't know what you're saying, and frankly I need to be out of here in 19 minutes."

China's video has been viewed over 195,000 times on TikTok and her followers have left countless comments.

One said: "Who schedules a hair appointment on a lunch break? Show back up to work a completely different person."

And a second wrote: "How do people not understand how time works?"

Then a third added: "If I'm getting my hair done I don't have anything else planned for at least an hour hour and a half after the appointment and that's for just a cut."
