Hades 2 will be released later today, Sept. 25, as the game expands to new platforms for more players to enjoy.
Technically, this isn't a brand new launch, as Hades 2 has been in early access for a fair amount of time. Finally, we are approaching the day when version 1.0 launches on all platforms. The game will be available on PC as usual, but version 1.0 will also be available on the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2.

Hades 2 release countdown
The day of launch has been known for quite some time, as Supergiant Games had announced the Sept. 25 date beforehand. Here's the countdown based on the official timings, as announced by the team.
The countdown is based on the following timings.
- 9am PDT (Sept. 25)
- 11am CDT (Sept. 25)
- 12pm EDT (Sept. 25)
- 5pm BST (Sept. 25)
- 6pm CEST (Sept. 25)
- 12am HKT (Sept. 26)
- 1am JST (Sept. 26)
- 2am AEST (Sept. 26)
The launch will happen simultaneously across all regions and on every platform. In simple words, there's no New Zealand trick to exploit, which allows you to play in advance by manipulating the date and time of your console.
Hades 2 platforms
Early access was initially released on PC and has been ongoing for more than a year. Version 1.0 will also be available on Nintendo Switch and, more importantly, for Switch 2. It will be interesting to find out more about how the old and new features work in the full version.
So far, we have no new information about when the game will release on consoles. Hades, the first title, eventually made its way over to consoles (other than those of Nintendo).
