Group of travellers pitch up at Clifton Park and Ride tram stop

A group of travellers have pitched up at Clifton Park and Ride tram stop.

The caravans can be seen at the car park at Clifton South Tram Park and Ride, just off the A453 Rememberance Way.

Nottinghamshire Live understands the group were at the site on Thursday, May 6.

The caravans remain at the site on the outskirts of Nottingham on Friday, May 7, with more than 10 caravans currently parked up.

Trams remain operational at the site and services have not been disrupted as a result of the caravans arriving in the car park.

There is also still space for tram users to park their car and use the service if they wish.

The council can evict travellers off a site owned by the authority when they are staying there without permission - it is up to the discretion of the landowner when they do so on private property.
