Greg Taylor aims barbed Celtic dig at Rangers ace Todd Cantwell

Greg Taylor has seemingly aimed a thinly-veiled dig at Rangers ace Todd Cantwell.

The Celtic left-back was up against the former Norwich attacker during Sunday's fiercely contested Scottish Cup semi-final.

The game finished 1-0 to the Hoops at Hampden, with Jota scoring the only goal of the afternoon.

One of the other major talking points of the game was Cantwell's performance.

The midfielder was a standout for Michael Beale's side, although he has come in for some criticism for his noising up of Celtic's players, namely Reo Hatate and Taylor.

But the latter insists he enjoyed his clash with the 25-year-old, however, did appear to warn him to do his talking on the pitch from now on.

He told the media: "He's just another opponent. Everyone tries to give their best out there.

"We just do our talking on the pitch and some could learn from that."

He continued: "I thought in the first half we had good control of the game, played our football, and had a deserved lead. Then Rangers had the incentive to get the equaliser.

"We were under a bit of pressure but the whole team held up well and, in these cup ties, it's important to get the win and we did that.

"We've got such a strong mentality in all games because we don't treat any different. The next game's the most important regardless of the occasion, that's the philosophy the manager's brought in, we don't waste a session or a game. When it comes to these big games, it helps.

"Rangers are a good opponent, let's not be unfair. They're difficult games, you've seen how close they've been. When it comes to these games they are so difficult but we've got the same mentality for every game and I think that does help."
