Greedy Williams proved his nickname doesn’t make the man on Wednesday. Williams hosted a bowling party for kids in Parma that included a backpack giveaway.
The sixth annual Strikes for Kids event is a natural fit for the Browns rookie cornerback. He has been an avid bowler since he was a kid in Louisiana.
In an interview from the alley with 92.3 The Fan, Williams expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to give back to his new city.
“Growing up I never had a professional player come back and have one to talk to so that’s something I’m trying to change. Give kids a chance to say, ‘I met Greedy Williams and I got his autograph, or he gave me a backpack.’ Kids live with those memories, so I’m definitely trying to give them one,” Williams told Daryl Ruiter.
