Great British Bake Off's worst technical challenge ever as stars tackle dairy for first time

The Great British Bake Off' s worse technical challenge ever is coming tonight.

The remaining bakers will take on dairy week for the first time in the show's history.

Under the watchful eye of judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood, they'll have to come up with their best cheesy delicacies.

The challenge will even see a former star baker get off to a disastrous start, and could even end with some of the contestants in tears.

And it's the technical challenge that really ruins everyone's day.

Paul tells the bakers: "They're all really bad."

Hosts Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig will be in the Bake Off tent as contestants create a decorative signature bake and make a show-stopping display of colourful mishti, which are Indian milk-based sweets, usually found as the table centrepiece at weddings.

The technical challenge will see them work through a complex recipe with a long history that dates all the way back to the days of Henry VIII.

Last week's show saw Amelia Le Bruin sent home.

The 24-year-old was in tears after her name was announced as the latest casualty in the tent.

She sadly failed to rise to the challenge in Bread Week and left Paul very unimpressed with her sub-par bakes.

Fashion designer Amelia said that she was "absolutely gutted" to be leaving the show already.

"I've always, always, always said that Bread Week for me would be about survival - and I just didn't survive," she said.

* Bake Off airs tonight at 8pm on Channel 4
