Grealish and Foden return - Predicted Man City line-up vs Brentford

Manchester City's trip to West London to face Brentford could see the return of two key attackers.

Phil Foden and Jack Grealish have been left out of the starting line-ups by Pep Guardiola in their last two games, after being punished for off-the-field antics.

Grealish and Foden were pictured on a night out that reportedly angered the coaching staff. Guardiola dropped the pair to the bench at Newcastle and they didn't feature in the 4-0 win. The manager later referred to 'behaviour' issues behind his selection.

And after Foden was only used a substitute, with Grealish unused in the game, Guardiola could turn to the English attackers on Wednesday.

City could be without a number of key defensive players for the trip.

Kyle Walker and John Stones have been away from the side after suffering with an illness, with Rodri missing out on Boxing Day also.

Kevin De Bruyne will likely join Gundogan and Fernandinho in midfield if Rodri will be out, while Guardiola can then pick one more forward to join Foden and Grealish in attack.

All three of Riyad Mahrez, Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling started against Leicester, so it could be a straight pick between the trio.

Manchester City predicted XI: Ederson, Cancelo, Ake, Laporte, Zinchenko, Fernandinho, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Jesus, Grealish, Foden
