'Granit Xhaka would be proud' - Fans noticed what Dele Alli did during Spurs vs Chelsea

Tottenham were slow out of the blocks during their big London derby with Chelsea at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Jose Mourinho was taking on former club Chelsea for the first time since becoming the new Tottenham boss, but it was his former side, under the tutelage of Frank Lampard, that started the brighter - much brighter.

Whatever the new Spurs manager's tactics were ahead of the game, they either did not work or were not adhered to by his players, as Chelsea caught the home team cold.

from a corner, Spurs did not react quickly enough, allowing Willian the opportunity to cut into the box and curl an effort past Paulo Gazzaniga and into the far corner for a 1-0 lead.

Jose Mourinho: I am 100% Tottenham

It was a great finish and deserving of as much praise as the criticism that was aimed at Tottenham for their lethargic reaction to the set-piece.

However, there was something else in the goal that caught the eye, at least from one of the replays shown on Sky Sports.

The TV company showed various replays from various different angles to showcase the strike and it was the one from behind the goal that led to a big social media reaction.

Willian's effort from the corner of the area curled round a number of white shirts in the heart of the 18-yard box and the replay showed a couple of players failing to attempt to put their body in the way.

In particular Dele Alli was seen ducking out of the way of the ball as it travelled towards the corner of Gazzaniga's net.

And that did not go unnoticed by football fans on Twitter.

And things got worse for Spurs after that.

Right on half-time, Chelsea made it 2-0 after a horrendous Gazzaniga error.

In trying to clear a bouncing ball, he completely missed it and took out Marcos Alonso, with VAR awarding a penalty that Willian converted.
