The penultimate race before the Grand National saw an exciting race, with Sam Brown winning from 28/1, ridden by Aidan Coleman ahead of a run on Snow Leopardess in the Grand National.
Favourite Shan Blue was well beaten despite a late challenge alongside early leader Wishing and Hoping. However, it was trainer Anthony Honeyball who celebrated success.
Killer Kane finished third after Wishing and Hoping faded at the end of the race, but it was the surprise victory for Coleman and Sam Brown which was the main talking point in this race.
It was a surprise result for the 28/1 shot, who pulled up on his last outing at Haydock Park in February. Honeyball tastes Festival success once more after two wins at Punchestown last year.
