Got a text! Jake Quickenden gives the low down on Love Island: 'Where's the banter?'

We got a text!

Jake Quickenden dropped us a message with his thoughts on this year’s islanders – and he wants a bit more “banter”.

The former X Factor contestant is thirsty for more drama as he compared the latest batch of singletons to cult teen flick Mean Girls.

With bombshells moving in faster than Anton drops his pants for his mum, Quickenden’s got his take on the action:

On Lucie and the girls:

None of the girls seem to take to Lucie which I find weird because I think she’s really nice. She’s the only girl in there that can get away with wearing shells and not brushing her hair.

On Tommy and Molly-Mae:

The whole show is dominated by Tommy Fury, and Maura also wants to be dominated by Tommy Fury but that didn’t happen. Eventually he chose Molly-Mae who at first I didn’t really take to but now I think she’s great.

On Tommy and Anton:

He’s the nicest person in there along with Anton who has received that many pies he could get a job at Greggs. He was taken the wrong way by his VT, people didn’t really like him. But it shows the VT is quite manipulating because he seems to be coming across really well. He’s my favourite in there.

On Amber and Michael:

They are great together. The initial attraction wasn’t there to start with but they seem to be going strong. She wants to slide down his pole I think.

On Anna and Jordan:

He opened up a conversation with ‘I like trainers’… weird.

Love Island is on ITV2, tonight at 9pm
