Good Morning Britain viewers want Piers Morgan to be sacked over 'offensive' impression

Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan was left in hot water today after appearing to mock the Chinese language.

The 54-year-old GMB presenter had been speaking about the Queen's eldest grandson Peter Phillips appearing in a TV advert for state milk in China when he made the odd comments.

Viewers were left furious and some were even calling for him to be sacked.

Discussing the ad with co-host Susanna Reid, he exclaimed: "Oh Peter, for god's sake man!"

After rewatching the advert again, Piers described Peter as looking like Bill Murray in the advert before slamming him for "exploiting" his royal status, reports Mirror Online.

He added: "At the next royal event, can you imagine Christmas at Sandringham is like - 'I'm sorry your majesty, but I only drink yang yank yong ying ming milk."

A frustrated Susanna Reid sighed: "Piers."

As they aired the advert again, Piers said: "Ok then - ching chang chong, ok I got it."

Susanna reprimanded him: "For God's sake... taking the mick out of languages is rather 1970s."

And viewers were not impressed.

One tweeted: "Piers really thought the rest of the panel would laugh at him mocking Chinese people! Why is this man still given a national platform?!? #GMB."

While another commented: "Little bit offensive there Piers. The 1970s called, they want their Chinese stereotype back. Moron. #gmb."

A third remarked: "#twitterverse is gonna be coming for you @piersmorgan #GMB #chinesemilkgate Get ready."

Another wrote: "#GMB @piersmorgan breaking too many rules, things are different in 2020, you are a dinosaur who needs to learn some new rules @itv @GMB."

"Did Piers Morgan seriously just mock Chinese people? #GMB," one questioned.

One fumed: "Now that IS a RACIST thing that piers has just done TWICE!!!! #GMB."

Another remarked: "Oh @piersmorgan you're digging yourself a hole man. Why are you mocking the Chinese language on live tv?? Tut tut #GMB."

A fan called: "Sack him! #ITV #ChingChongGate #GMB."
