Romelu Lukaku has appeared to fire a dig at Chelsea on Instagram after the forward completed a season-long loan switch to Inter Milan last month.
The Italian club confirmed the deal was done in a video of the striker on top of their HQ in which he declared "I"m back!" to president Steven Zhang.
The 29-year-old re-signed for the Blues last summer for a club-record £97.5 million but managed to score just eight Premier League goals amid a rollercoaster campaign at Stamford Bridge from both a club and personal standpoint.
Inter's deal to bring Lukaku back to San Siro will cost a total of £10.3m, made up of a £6.9m loan fee plus £3.4m in bonuses. The Belgium international has also agreed to a 30 per cent pay cut to help get the move over the line ahead of pre-season, a decision which will see his earnings drop from around £10m per year after tax to £7m.
The Nerazzurri will play all of his wages next term and hope Lukaku can return to the form he showed during his first stint in Milan. The ex- Manchester United striker bagged a sensational 64 goals in 95 games, helping Inter win their first Serie A title for 11 years in 2021.
However, Lukaku struggled for form at the Blues and fell out of favour with Thomas Tuchel after conducting an interview with Sky Italia, where he appeared to hint he wants to move back to Italy. Although Lukaku finished the campaign as Chelsea's first-choice striker, he has decided to depart and explore a new challenge.
In an Instagram post, Lukaku has appeared to slam Chelsea for the way they treated him last season. He claimed that he is going to show "you how easy it is to cut ties".

Lukaku's post read: "I'ma probably show you I'm solid first and if the energy ain't right. I'ma show you how easy it is to cut ties, no more tries. Gone…"
The words are lyrics from ' Scorpio ' by American rapper Moneybagg Yo, whose 2021 album A Gangsta's Pain topped the billboard charts in the US.
Speaking back in December, Lukaku said this to Sky Italy on his Chelsea future: "I have always said that I have Inter in my heart: I know I will return to Inter, I really hope so.
"I am in love with Italy, this is the right moment to talk and let people know what really happened. I really hope from bottom of my heart to return to Inter not at the end of my career, but when I'm still at top level to win more together."
