Golden State’s Larry Harris among candidates for New Orleans GM position

According to ESPN NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the New Orleans Pelicans have been granted permission to interview a multitude of front office candidates around the league. These include, but are not limited to, Houston’s Gerrson Rojas, Brooklyn’s Trajan Langdon, and Golden State’s Larry Harris.

New Orleans relieved Dell Demps from the position in February of this year, partly due to his handling of the Anthony Davis trade saga. In an article earlier in the year, Wojnarowski reported that New Orleans owner Gayle Benson is looking for “a top basketball executive who will take on a more prominent role in the franchise.”

Prior to joining the Warriors, Harris worked for the Milwaukee Bucks for 19 years under a variety of roles such as the GM from 2003-2007. Since joining the Golden State franchise in 2008, Harris has worked both on the sidelines and in the front office.

Harris is currently in his first year as the Director of Player Personnel. According to the Warriors official website, Harris serves as one of the organization’s key talent evaluators of players at both the professional and collegiate levels, assisting with the team’s year-round preparation for the NBA draft, free agency and trades.
