Friday's edition saw Pete and Sophie Sandiford, along with the rest of the cast, react to Andrew Marr.

Marr was quizzing Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister, during Sunday's show.

Beckie Miller said: "I wish they wouldn’t put politics on here. This is supposed to be fun"

David Joseph Lawton added: "They haven't watched Gordon, Gino and Fred yet on this. I want to see them watching taskmaster, Sick of politics aswell."

Farmer Palmer wrote: "Used to occasionally watch gogglebox for a laugh. No more. Not interested in what any of them think about Universal Credit or any politics."

The show saw Pete fume: “Inflation’s gone through the [bleep] roof, so it costs more to live, but obviously Boris doesn’t see it like that with his £500 a role wallpaper.”

Other favourites to appear included Ellie Warner and sister Izzy, as well as the Siddiqui family in Derbyshire, and Manchester family the Malones.

Giles and Mary also featured, as did the beloved Jenny and Lee from Hull.
