Gogglebox is making a major change this week and fans are 'chuffed'

Gogglebox is making a major change to the programme this week.

The likes of Jenny and Lee, Sophie and Pete and the Siddiqui family have been back giving their opinions on the latest TV shows - including Strictly and Netflix hit Squid Game.

But despite the Channel 4 hit only being back on-screen for a matter of weeks, the cast is being re-jigged on Friday night.

That's because a bunch of celebrities are joining the upcoming episode for a special cause.

And Gogglebox made the announcement on Twitter on Monday morning.

A tweet read: ANNOUNCEMENT! We’re so excited @michaelsheen and his partner @anna_lundbergs are joining the sofa fam this Friday, 15th October for #Gogglebox @SU2C celebrity special!

"See you there, 9pm on @Channel4 #StandUpToCancer."

The episode will be in aid of Stand Up To Cancer, the Cancer Research UK and Channel 4 fundraising campaign that brings the UK together to speed up progress in life-saving cancer research.

And fans are already looking forward to it.

"Absolutely chuffed," one said.

Another fan added: "Can’t wait I love him."

"Brilliant love them both," a third added.

Also on Friday, October 15, Davina McCall, Alan Carr, Adam Hills and Maya Jama will host a glittering night of live TV as famous faces from the world of sport, film, music and comedy come together to Stand Up To Cancer.

Joe Lycett will be putting his Maths GCSE to good use, totting up the totaliser throughout the night and explaining how the money raised will be spent on life-saving cancer research.

The Stand Up To Cancer fundraiser is this Friday (Channel 4)

Leading a rallying cry in the fight against cancer will be Usain Bolt, Olivia Colman, Liam Payne, James Blunt, The Jonas Brothers, Rosie Jones, The Derry Girls, Liam Gallagher, Jack Black, Stephen Mangan, Sigrid, David Oyelowo, Martin Freeman, Peter Crouch, Jamie Oliver, Tom Parker, Roman Kemp and Dermot Kennedy, who will all be making appearances on the show across the evening.

Tributes will also be paid to those we have lost recently, and those still fighting.
