"God help Arsenal going forward."
That was the scathing assessment from Sky Sports pundit Roy Keane after the Gunners were held to a disappointing draw by relegation-threatened Fulham this afternoon.
It might have been even worse for Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, too.
After trailing to a second-half penalty from Josh Maja, the hosts needed a last-gasp equaliser from academy graduate Eddie Nketiah to restore parity - and pick up a Premier League point.
He netted in the 97th minute as Mikel Arteta's side, who remain ninth in the standings after that result, found things tough-going against opponents who are destined for life back in the Championship next season.
It was an under-par display that didn't go unnoticed by Keane and the Sky Sports panel, either, with the former Manchester United captain leading the way in openly criticising the Gunners.
Speaking in the studio alongside host David Jones and former Manchester City player Micah Richards, Keane said: "The deliveries at the end were shocking, too many inswingers into the goalkeeper's hands.
"Saka goes over and takes an outswinger, the goalkeeper goes up and gets a nice touch on it, a bit of a scramble, but like all good strikers on the move, anticipating it. Arsenal were dreadful, I can't believe how bad Arsenal were. They probably just about deserved it [the draw]."
Keane added: "The lack of quality from both teams, it was dreadful. Arsenal were even worse, God help Arsenal going forward, I thought they were shocking, dreadful, they got a bit lucky in the end. Arsenal, my goodness.
"The only thing I'd say is that he's standing right in the middle of the goal [for Arsenal's equaliser]. That's the only argument I'd see from Fulham's point of view [calling for offside]. He's right in the middle of the goal. The goalkeeper would be aware of him there, and it would be a fantastic save, but like all good strikers [he's there].”
