GMB's Kate Garraway and Richard Bacon disgusted as they talk farting at work

Kate Garraway and Richard Bacon were not impressed on Thursday as they were forced to talk about farting whilst hosting Good Morning Britain.

The pair were live in the ITV studio as they fronted the breakfast programme in the lead up to Christmas, and were dreading talking about flatulence.

"Most people manage to excuse the occasional... we've not been looking forward to this item, we're being honest," Richard told viewers as loud fart sounds were played live on air.

"Even I, my breath was taken away by those sound effects," Kate giggled as Richard looked disgusted.

"This is not normal," she added as she urged Richard to "keep going".

The duo were discussing a barrister who took on the CPS and tried to sue the CPS after a colleague told him to stop farting in their joint office.

Comedian Eshaan Akbar and former Dragons' Den star Richard Farleigh joined the pair via video link to join the debate.

Eshaan didn't believe there was a problem with people letting rip at work, whereas Richard felt it was disgusting.

At one point during the conversation, mother-of-two Kate revealed that her husband Derek Draper is a fan of farts.

"Some people find it hilarious, my husband Derek - sadly perhaps not so much at the moment - he revels in trumping," Kate said.

"He's got names for different types of them, it's absolutely huge. And he comes from a long line of trumpers!"

She continued: "In my family, from when I was born, it was sort of discouraged. You couldn't even say the word! And I don't do it!"

After Eshaan revealed that humans fart around 20 times a day, Richard declared he will be wearing a face mask even when the pandemic is over.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV and ITV hub.
