‘GMA3′ anchors TJ Holmes and Amy Robach will remain sidelined until internal review concludes

ABC News president Kim Godwin asked staffers to stay focused while “GMA3” hosts T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach remain sidelined during an investigation into their recently revealed romance.

“As we start this new week together, I want to take a moment to address the ongoing matter involving ‘GMA3′ anchors T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach,” begins an email obtained by TMZ.

Holmes and Robach reportedly ended their respective marriages in August. Their romance became public in late November. Both show hosts were married to other people since 2010. TMZ said lawyers and human resources workers at ABC are reviewing whether the anchors violated their contracts or misused company resources.

In Godwin’s message posted online Monday, she acknowledges coverage of the network’s weekday show pair can be distracting to staffers, then clarified Holmes and Robach “will remain off-air pending the completion of the internal review.”

A rotating cast of anchors will fill-in for Holmes and Robach until the review is complete, Godwin said. She asked workers to “continue to focus” on their jobs and congratulated them for their “hard work and professionalism.”

The pair began working together in September 2020 on “GMA3,” which is an extension of the long-running program “Good Morning America.” They last appeared on air together on Dec. 3.

People magazine quoted a source stating Robach, 40, and Holmes, 45, began seeing one another romantically following their respective separations and have “nothing to hide.”

CBS morning show host Gayle King weighed-in on her rival station’s ongoing drama as “very messy.”
