Gleneagles Hotel set to reopen in late April

The iconic Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire is planning a “roaring reopening” for guests on 26 April.

Following the Scottish Government announcement earlier this week about the reopening of hospitality businesses, Gleneagles said it is aiming to bring the "joy of the Roaring Twenties" into its summer reopening plans.

In November, the hotel announced it would close its doors until February as the pandemic took its toll on the business - although the golf course and membership leisure facilities remained open.

The new summer plans include a month-long series of festivities in June and the return of the Explorers Kids Club from July.

From June onwards the American Bar will host live jazz from Thursdays to Saturdays. From May to September, the hotel's Seafood Bar & Grill will serve food from Thursdays through to Sundays.

The outdoor Summer House will feature a tuck shop and ice cream parlour for younger guests, while Glendevon Terrace will feature a variety of vintage champagnes and a specially curated menu.

Head chef Stefano Purci and his team are also offering lunchtime pasta-making masterclasses from Mondays to Thursdays in the Winter Garden.

Gleneagles is also expanding its outdoor experiences with off-road guiding tours in the estate's fleet of Land Rover Defenders.
