'Glazers out' - Manchester United fans fume after Liverpool confirm Cody Gakpo deal

Manchester United fans have made their feelings clear after missing out on the signing of Cody Gakpo.

Liverpool this evening confirmed the arrival of the Dutch forward from PSV, agreeing a five-and-a-half-year deal to bring the 23-year-old to Anfield. This comes after weeks of speculation suggesting United were leading the race to recruit Gakpo, having parted ways with Cristiano Ronaldo before the start of the World Cup.

A latest report by ESPN has claimed United did not submit an official bid for Gakpo due to financial restraints, on the back of a summer outlay which surpassed the £200million mark.

United fans have also not responded in a positive manner after seeing Liverpool confirm this transfer - as highlighted below - made worse by the fact Gakpo seemed certain to be Old Trafford-bound for a number of weeks.
