Fans of Glastonbury Festival can start to get a little more bit excited now as the Pyramid Stage begins to take shape. Worthy Farm is set to host the festival for the first time in three years this summer after back-to-back cancellations due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Emily Eavis shared an image of the main stage being assembled on her Instagram on Monday (April 4) with the caption "for all those awaiting the return of the webcam". It looks as those the main foundations have all been built up already.
The world-famous Pyramid Stage will then begin getting dressed for the June festival as ten of thousands of music fans descend upon the farm to see headliners such as Billie Eilish, Paul McCartney and Kendrick Lemar perform there later this year.
It follows the first release of the line-up for the festival last month. It saw acts such as Doja Cat, Lorde, Haim, Olivia Rodrigo, Foals and Noel Gallagher join the line-up alongside the three huge headliners.
Resale tickets were made available online on March 27 and were snapped up in a matter of minutes meaning that if you've not already got a ticket for the five-day festival this year, you're going to have to wait another year.
Fans excitedly replied to Emily Eavis' post on Instagram with one user saying "look how pretty she is" while another added, "this is making it real. We hope to see it in person".
Others added: "Now stop it. Why am I crying" or "food for the soul" in response to the Pyramid Stage starting to take shape.
