Glastonbury 2020: Why a plane has appeared in front of Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm

The mystery behind the appearance of a plane on the Glastonbury Festival sight has been solved.

A plane was spotted parked up in front of the Pyramid Stage on the festival’s webcam, sparking speculation about who it could belong to.

The colourful aircraft was also visible over the shoulders of Lauren Laverne and Clara Amfo as they introduced the BBC Two's Glastonbury Experience.

Laura Marling gave a live performance from Worthy Farm last night and initially it was thought the plane, which has a distinctive bird livery, may have been a prop for her set.

Although initially no explanation was given about the appearance of the aircraft, it has now been revealed it belongs to sculptor Joe Rush.

He calls it ‘the camper’ and he lives in it during the festival, reports Somerset Live.
