Glastonbury 2020: How much are tickets and when they are on sale

Nobody can really argue that Glastonbury 2019 was anything but a fantastic year for everyone involved.

Stars such as Stormzy and Lizzo reached new heights of fame while legends such as Kylie Minogue proved the test of time.

But with the coming year being the iconic festival's 50th year, it will be truly unparalled.

It means that, for a festival that sells out within minutes every year, the competition for 2020 will be even more intense.

Here's what you need to know about buying, or tying to buy, Glastonbury 2020 tickets.

When do tickets go on sale for Glastonbury 2020?

While the official date has yet to be announced previous years have shown tickets often go on sale on a Sunday in October and usually at the begining.

So this year we can expect more than likely tickets will be sold on either October 6 or October 13.

However coach packages which includes the entry ticket went on sale the previous Thursday, so expect a similar date of either the 3rd or the 10th.

Additional items such as Worthy View accommodation, Campervan passes, and tipis will be available for ticket holders to book later in October.

Organisers will reveal the official date in the autumn. But those wishing to go will have to register on the website for free. Those who have registered before do not have to again.

How much will tickets be?

For the full weekend tickets cost £253 for 2019. This was only £10 more than the previous year, 2017.

So while you can expect prices to be higher they won't be much more than current prices.

This year festival-goers could book up to six tickets per transaction by paying a deposit of £50 per person when tickets go on sale (plus the coach fare, if you are booking a coach package).

Details will be released in the Autumn.
