A man has admitted being in control of a dog that mauled a pet to death.
Andrew Cusick's Presa Canario named Umbro attacked Mary Curran's dog at a park near Glasgow's Thornliebank on May 30, 2020.
Court papers state the 66-year-old's dog was dangerously out of control as it was allowed to run freely about the park untethered and unmuzzled.

Cusick had two other dogs at the time who were also untethered and unmuzzled. Umbro approached 64-year-old Miss Curran's Affenpinscher dog and bit it repeatedly on the neck and "did kill it."
Cusick's other two dogs attended at the attack to bark and growl in an aggressive manner. Umbro failed to desist when told to do so by Cusick who also pulled his dog by the body.
Umbro then struggled violently with Cusick, Miss Curran, and 71-year-old Marie Ortiz who intervened in an attempt to prevent the attack.
Cusick pled guilty yesterday to the single charge under the dangerous dogs act at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
Sentence was deferred pending background reports until next month where further facts regarding the circumstances will be heard.
Cusick had his bail continued meantime by Sheriff Vincent Lunny.
