Glasgow weather: The beer garden bank holiday weekend forecast ahead

It's safe to say the weather hasn't been particularly kind to us on the first days of beer gardens reopening for customers on Monday.

The beginning of this week has seen a spate of bad weather, with plenty of rain, and chillier temperatures. Not to mention that this weather betrayal came off the back of a weekend of glorious sunshine and warmer temperatures.

Of course, that hasn't stopped Glaswegians determined to enjoy that first post-lockdown pint, with a photo of punters crouched under some parasols outside the Toolbooth Bar at Glasgow Cross to stay dry going viral.

However, there's undoubtedly a certain amount of trepidation about whether the weather will behave as we approach the first weekend with the beer gardens open.

And although we're not going back to the blue skies and sunshine we enjoyed last weekend, we're happy to say that we're being forecast slightly more manageable conditions.

The Met Office is predicting a dry, mostly cloudy weekend but there will be the occasional sunny spells.

Tomorrow forecast reads: "A mixture of bright or sunny spells and scattered showers. Feeling quite pleasant in the sunshine with light winds. Maximum temperature 12 °C."

Meanwhile, Saturday and Sunday are both predicted to have "sunny intervals changing to cloudy in the afternoon".

So although you'll hopefully be able to put away your umbrellas, it''ll be far from taps aff weather - so keep hold your of jackets.
