Much of Glasgow and the surrounding area have woken up to snow today with many having to work from home when they otherwise would have been in the office.
At present, there is one weather warning for snow and ice in place for the UK which is also affecting Glasgow and came into force yesterday (January 6) at 8pm.
It is expected to stop at 12pm today.
According to the Met Office, "frequent sleet, hail and snow showers may lead to some disruption to travel during Friday morning."
The weather forecasters also warn that in addition to travel delays, there is a "small chance that power cuts will occur and other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected."
There is also a chance some rural communities could become cut off.
Whilst drivers have been urged to take caution and check their route before heading out, cyclists have also been warned that there could be icy patches on untreated roads.
In an update to the weather warning, the Met Office said that the "warning now assessed as a very low likelihood of medium impacts for Scotland and Northern England, with a separate low impact warning issued for Northern Ireland.
"Falling snow below this level may cause some temporary slushy accumulations which then may freeze and cause icy patches where skies remain clear for long enough. Winds will be gusty around heavier showers and there is also a risk of lightning strikes from isolated thunderstorms in some coastal districts."
But what is Glasgow's weather looking like for the weekend and will the snow continue?
The weather warning is in place until 12pm today however the majority of the snow has now stopped and anything still to fall will likely be sleet.
This sleet will stop at around 1pm today to allow for a few hours on "sunny intervals" with the sleet picking back up again from 5-6pm.
At present, there is no more snow forecast for this week but BBC Weather have predicted sleet for January 19 and the 20th.
But looking ahead to the weekend, it seems like the worst of the snow is behind us with forecasters predicting heavy rain for Saturday with highs of 7C and lows of 3C.
Meanwhile light rain is set for following day with highs of 6C and lows of 5C.
