Glasgow is set to bask in the sunshine and have its hottest day of the year so far this week.
Forecasters predict temperatures as high as 27c on Thursday, with the city set for yet another week of sun,
And this morning (Monday), the Met Office confirmed that if we are to hit the 27C mark this week, it will be Glasgow's warmest day of 2021, with the previous high of 25C set amid the recent heatwave.
It's due to be similarly hot tomorrow, with experts predicting highs of 26C amid wall-to-wall sunshine.
However, Glaswegians are advised to make the most of stunning summer weather, with forecasters suggesting we could be seeing rain on Sunday and throughout much of next week.
Looking ahead to the next few days, the Met Office say:
Today:
It will be a dry day with long spells of sunshine almost everywhere. Perhaps a few patches of low cloud and mist over the Inner Hebrides, Light winds and becoming very warm. Maximum temperature 25 °C.
Tonight:
A fine warm sunny evening, then dry with clear spells tonight. Just some patchy mist over some Atlantic coasts. Light winds. Minimum temperature 12 °C.
Tuesday:
It will be another dry and sunny day, in all areas. Becoming very warm or hot, though with some cooling sea breezes. Maximum temperature 26 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
A fine settled spell of weather with some sunny periods, perhaps some low cloud in the Central Belt in the mornings. Isolated showers possible. Very warm or hot.
