A sustainability led vintage clothing store has opened in Glasgow and its owner wants to “breathe more life into” the High Street.
Hendrix and H Vintage Co opened its St George’s Road premises to customers two weeks ago and received a positive response, according to its founder Zak Benhaddad.
The 22-year-old, who lives in the city centre, is selling clothes dating back to the 70s, 80s, 90s and early 2000s - for men and women.

The young entrepreneur wants to encourage people to ditch fast fashion and opt for sustainable garments, which won’t harm the planet, instead.
He told Glasgow Live : “St George’s Road has quite a lot of vacant units and I know the trend is for a lot of high street stores to be closing now but we want to block that and breathe some life back into the high street.
“Most of the vintage clothing shops are concentrated in the west end and the city centre. There’s not one in the Charing cross area.

“I really liked the sustainability aspect in the circular economy. I think the way the world is going with fast fashion and all these clothes ending up in landfill - I much like the fact that while it’s being sustainable, our clothes are also really good quality.”
The clothes range from £19.99 and go up to £60 with plenty of stylish options to add to your wardrobe.
Zak added: “It’s been very stressful but we’ve got a great location. A lot of these clothes are nearly forty years old and they are still looking great.

“You can’t find these pieces in places like H&M or Primark. If we hadn’t got the clothes they may have ended up in landfill.
“There’s a lot of businesses on the street supporting one another and it’s a very nice community feel. Older customers have said they had certain items when they were kids and it’s great to see it in the store.
“I want to do what I can to make a difference to the environment and this is one of the ways I am doing it.”
Hendrix and H Vintage Co is open from Monday to Friday between 12pm and 5pm.
Saturday's hours are 11am to 6pm and they are also open on Sunday's from 12pm to 6pm.
