Glasgow to see dry weather as Met Office share when rain will stop

It looks to be a grey and wet start to the week in Glasgow on Monday.

The morning and early afternoon will be dominated by rain showers, though the weather will improve slightly moving later into the day.

According to the Met Office, it will be "a mostly dull morning with some patchy drizzle" that will morph into "more persistent and occasionally heavy rain".

The showers in the city are expected to peak in intensity between 11am and midday, with a 90% chance of precipitation forecast around this time.

Moving into the late afternoon and early evening, skies will dry up somewhat - although the weather service predicts that further rain may make an appearance later in the night.

Fortunately, Monday at least looks set to be a mild one in the city.

Temperatures will hover between 13 and 14 degrees Celsius for much of the morning and early afternoon, before peaking at 16C at around 4pm.

Skies don't look set to improve all that much on Tuesday - with heavy rain again likely to dominate.

Check back tomorrow for an updated forecast.
