Glasgow is set to swelter in 30°C heat tomorrow according to an updated weather forecast from the Met Office.
Glasgow Live reported on Monday that highs of 26 degrees were originally predicted in the city as a mini-heatwave descends on the country over the next few days.
And now maximum temperature estimates have been raised to 30°C across Strathclyde in the latest regional forecast from the UK's national weather service.
The forecast for tomorrow reads: "A mostly dry and sunny day. Becoming hot or very hot, and again there is the chance of one or two isolated thundery showers in the afternoon. Gentle southeast breeze. Maximum temperature 30°C."
As for the weekend, Friday to Sunday's forecast notes: "Friday hot with some sunshine but thundery showers developing with torrential downpours in places later. Rain or showers over the weekend and cooling off."
Meanwhile a Yellow weather warning for thunderstorms is in place across Strathclyde from tomorrow until 6am on Saturday morning.
We could even see the roof of the Glasgow Science Centre melt again, as it did back in June of 2018 when temperatures hit 30°C.
