Glasgow teenager missing for over 24 hours as police launch urgent appeal

Police have made an urgent appeal to the public after a Glasgow teenager went missing in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Fernando Rostas was last seen in the Cathcart Road area at around 1.30am on January 25.

The 15-year-old is described as 5ft 10in tall, with short black hair. He was wearing a peach tracksuit, blue jacket, white trainers and was riding a bike at the time of his disappearance.

Fernando is known to frequent the city centre and the Govanhill area.

A Greater Glasgow Police Facebook post read: "Police in Glasgow are appealing for information to help trace 15 year old Fernando Rostas.

"Fernando was last seen in the Cathcart Road area of the city around 0130am on Wednesday 25th January 2023.

"Fernando frequents the Govanhill area and is also known to spend time in the city centre.


"He is described as being around 5ft 10in, with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a peach tracksuit, blue jacket, white trainers and was riding a bike.

"Anyone with information on Fernando’s whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 2498 of 23 January."
